These earthy drops were created from copper sheet and vitreous enamel (powdered glass) and sterling silver findings.
The designs are hand drawn in graphite and fired until the graphite seals into the enamel below, eternally preserved in glass.

Each element has been sawed, hammered and shaped using traditional metalsmithing techniques. The glass is sifted on and fired with a torch to over 700 degrees.
This pair is counter enamelled on the back which takes on an earthier oxidised(darker) appearance due to the nature of torch firing.
